As part of Anna's imaginary world, the villains are 'The Bears'. She usually makes reference to them when she's 'running away from the Bears' with her friend 'Coral'.
Last night, Anna took me to the very edge of frustration. Being very naughty, not going to sleep. She has an incredible will that will out-do me every time. So I called on the Bears.
I told her I was going to put her outside with the Bears. And I have never seen her so frightened. I think the one other time I have seen her this scared was when she had the surgery for her grommets, and we had to hold her down with the mask over her face for her to fall asleep. She was utterly terrified.
Today, I told the Bears to 'go away, go away go away'. And they're never coming back.
I'm sorry Anna for scaring you.
when all else fails, just scare the living daylights out of them. then deal with the guilt for the rest of your life!!! no doubt she'll talk about it to her therapist when she's 25....
