Over the past few weeks it has been Nanna-Lou and Pa's birthday's. Unfortunately the day before Pa's birthday, I got very sick so I was stuck in hospital. On the up side, Anna got to spend 3 nights with Pa, and helped him celebrate his birthday. That was great. Thanks Pa and Tiff!
Then we celebrated Nanna's birthday too. We surprised her by coming in to her work. And she thought we'd forgotten. Anna helped unwrap the present.

Splish Splash I was Takin' A Bath
Nothing's changed - she still loves bath time.
Splish splash, I was takin' a bath
Long about a Saturday night
A rub-a-dub, just relaxin' in the tub
Thinkin' everything was alright
Now that I think about it, and actually listen to the lyrics of 'Splish Splash' by Bobby Darin - it's probably not appropriate for kids. Tracey Boyd should be ashamed!

Raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses...
These are a few of my favourite things.
My super awesome comfy grown up big girl chair!
Following mum everywhere she goes.
Yummy food!
The formula scoop. She chomps on this like chocolate gold!
The music from the swinger. It's mesmerising.
The giant ducky.
The mirror. Many good times had in there.
Books. This is really the only book she can have at the moment, as all others would be sentenced to shredding and eaten.
But of course she'd much prefer mummy's books.
The play gym. She also loves pulling herself up onto it so she can stand up.
Playing 'ghost'.
All shiny, buttony, baby-can't-have things.
Her Sophie.
Clinging onto Mummy at every opportunity.
Anything shiny and silver. Her favourite is Pa's watch. She calls it 'her precious'.
Flowers, leaves, bushes and trees. But especially flowers. She loves to grab hold, squish them, taste them then watch them fall to the ground.
Helping Mummy get the mail, then eating it.
Keys. Can't go wrong.
Chasing the formula tin down the hallway.
Poking those little hands through the railings on the cot and grabbing anything she can reach on the change table.
Her entourage - Heather, Oscar and Bob.
Helping Mummy type.
Making lovely music with the wind chime. It's Anna's favourite thing to do with Daddy.
Playing in lovely, green grass when the sun is out.
Always kicking off at least one sock.
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, these are a few of my favourite things.

Fit For A Queen
Now that Anna is getting older and more interested in, well, everything, we've had to create a little play area for her. And it's awesome. It's like her own little 'living room'. She's got her sheep skin rug, she's got her massive basket of toys, a blanket on hand, with some chuck rags, bibs and a box of wet-ones, but that's more for me. She's got her bumbo, her play gym, and a little table to colour on when she gets older. We'll be getting her a little chair to go with the table, and a chalk board with some chalk, and some paint and smock.
And all next to the lovely big window, full of nature and natural light. Sometimes she'll crawl up to the window, and just sit up and look out at the sun hitting the green grass.
And she's also learned how to say 'mum, pick me up'. It works every time. The hands go up, almost like begging. And it's so hard to keep entertaining her, she needs constant stimulation. So we decided to go for a drive...

Here I Come Mummy!
So proud of my little girl. She's figured it out. She's crawling!
There's no stopping her now.
The best part? She crawls to me.
Growing up so quick.
Chompers!
Since getting teeth, Anna is so much more interested in food. She'll actually prefer having a bowl of pumpkin and avocado instead of a bottle. And of course, now that she's completely weaned off breastfeeding (slight tear) she's much more confident and curious about all kinds of food.
And I thought I'd put these photos up because it's cute. She's trying to grab her reflection from the glass. Aww.
My little buddah!
