Made me laugh

I just wanted to write this down because it's something that I want to remember when my baby girl is no longer a baby girl. These are the kind of things she says daily, just intriguing one liners. The other day, I was holding Anna and she was looking into my eyes. She says "you have Annas in your eyes". At first I couldn't work out what she meant, but she was looking into my eyes so intensely that I thought she must be seeing something. I realised she could see her reflection in my eyes. How cute :)

Tired

She was so tired, she fell asleep with the bottle still in her mouth...

Introvert

As Anna gets older, it's becoming more apparent that she's introverted. I really cherish this. Being an extrovert myself, it's really intriguing seeing Anna develop into someone that's opposite to me, but in a good way. She loves reading and painting and drawing. She's been at this picture for an hour, painting in the lines, very carefully and perfectly. I adore her.

Fun

The kids love playing on this bike at Nans house, up and down the hallway. And Anna has now learned how to ride it all on her own! Now she takes Millie along for the ride.

Kids

Ears

Anna has always had an obsession with ears. She's either playing with her own ears or someone else's, usually whilst she's sucking her thumb. It's a comfort thing, I think.

Tonight, as I was tucking her in, I said "I love you Anna - do you love me?"

She responded: "Ah, actually, I love ears".

Trumped by ears.

As I was saying goodnight, she asked to play with my ears one last time, and I said "No -play with your own ears!"

She said: "But my ears aren't cold like yours"...

Weird kid. I love you anyway.
