The Show

Mum took the girls to the Royal Melbourne Show. Mum said that Millie waited at the bottom of the slide to catch Anna. Those girls are so close, such kindred spirits.

Millie was very proud of her Leggo creation. Apparently, the Firefighter at the front is diving, and the one at the back is waiting his turn...

The Miniature Trains

Millie did not like the loud train tooting, she had her ears covered the whole way and had my hands covering her eyes. Otherwise, it was quite a nice day out.

Trip to the Snow

This is a day I will always remember. It was the girls' first trip to the snow, and although Millie was sick and largely missed out, it was an awesome day. Anna was in her element, she had so much fun and it was so wonderful because I hadn't seen her smile like that in such a long time. We're making it an annual event, and we'll probably stay for the weekend next time- Anna was just non-stop and didn't want to leave!

Poor Millie was sick and spent the entire day in First Aid.

Sunshine has returned

After one of the coldest winters we have ever experienced, the sun has returned. And I had forgotten over this long winter that we are actually quite an active little family, and it's so wonderful to be out and about again. Along with Anna's therapy that we've been undergoing the past few months, we have ensured we do something different and active as a family every weekend. The return of spring certainly helps in that respect. Today we were at the Royal Botanic Gardens with Tom, Ramsey and Isla. Later we're heading to Bounce Inc as promised as Anna's reward for a full month of good school mornings, a huge achievement for Anna and we are all so proud of her and the progress she's made. Tomorrow morning we'll be going out for waffles for breakfast (as promised).

Anna has been having trouble with school lately. So I gave her my 'uni uniform' to wear under her dress. It makes her feel a bit more confident. I hope it helps, at the very least.

Millie had a screaming fit and when she finally calmed down, she stood up and her head started to hurt. She grabs her forehead and yells "my head is broken!"

We picked up Anna's new glasses yesterday. She was so excited. I was very relieved that she was excited, because it could have gone the other way. She was a bit nervous about wearing them to school today, saying she didn't want anyone to see her wearing them. But she got settled in and told Chelsea about them, then came running back over to her bag to get them out and show off her new (super cute) look!
